This 3.5-hour tour starts earlier than the museum’s official opening hours, giving early and special access to the Sistine Chapel, museum halls, and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Spend about 2 hours in the museum rooms viewing Raphael’s Rooms, Hall of Maps, ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian artworks, Belvedere Courtyard, Halls of Animals, etc.

Admire the beauty of the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s brilliance for another 15 minutes before proceeding to St. Peter’s Basilica.

The early access tour ticket costs €180 for adult visitors aged 18+ years,  while for a child between 6 and 17 years, it costs only €170.

Infants aged 5 years don’t need a ticket.

Meet your guide near the flower stand at the corner of Via Leone IV and Viale Giulio Cesare, 237, 00192 Roma RM, Italy. Get Directions.

The guide will hold a ‘Through Eternity’ sign or flag.

Important Information About this Ticket 

  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible, but you can carry strollers.
  • We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing a water bottle, which involves walking with stairs and bends.
  • Please inform the tour operator beforehand if any travelers have mobility concerns so that they can be accommodated.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early and at the right meeting point so that the tour starts on time.
  • Return the headsets to your guide at the end of the tour. Not returning it calls for a fine of €100 for lost property. 
  • The Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification. One person accompanying them gets free entry, too.
